How does one 'change their religion'?

Now, when I say that, I don't literally mean "change their religion". I am an atheist (I HATE that word, because I am very spiritual, it just doesn't involve having a god or belonging to a religion) and my girlfriend of 4 (since we were 15) years is a devoted christian. I respect her beliefs entirely, and would NEVER put them down. I am far beyond 'in love' with this girl, and I intend to spend the rest of my life with her..

How would that effect our relationship if I would much like to spend and ETERNITY with her?

What can I do to come to a consensus with spiritual beliefs?

I have a true spiritual connection with her, and I believe we are connected in such a manor. If someone could shed some light on the predicament I am in, it would be greatly appreciated. I really don't want her to believe that when we die--that's the end of the rode for us. I just don't believe in the place, 'heaven'. I realize that this isn't a direct question, so I am just asking for some feedback on what some folks think of the situation as a whole.

Thank you for listening to me rant.

Since you are spiritual in nature what is preventing you from accepting the work and teachings of the Holy Spirit? One of those teachings is that non-Christians will be separated from Christians after death.

I really don't understand this message at all. How can you be deeply in love with someone while rejecting their core beliefs? :hammer punch: Examine your thoughts to see if your love may be primarily physical in nature.True loves requires a approval of the whole person especially their passions.
