Eating essential amino acids is specifically more important than eating just protein.
Nutrition labels provide grams of protein in food, but what does that number really mean?
If a certain food had no essential amino acids, but 4 grams of other amino acids, would that appear on the label?
If a certain food had 4 grams of only amino acids, would that appear on the label?
If a food had all amino acids except one essential amino acid, would the label say "0 grams" of protein?
