My friend and I went to see Kate Winslet on the red carpet last night before an awards show in Santa Barbara. We got there about an hour early so we were in a good enough place that we could get her autograph. The crowd didn't start getting big until maybe 20-30 min before she came.

Tonight, Penelope Cruz is coming. When should we get there? We're wondering if it will be more crowded since word may have spread after last night. Also, Clint Eastwood is coming Thursday night - its a weeknight, but he is definately a bigger star.

I'd appreciate advice from someone who has been to such events before on when to arrive. Thanks :)

I always arrive 90 minutes early... I want a good seat and I don't mind waiting.

If you *do* mind waiting, then get there about 45 minutes early.

Probably a 2 hours before. I know it's a really long time, but you'll want to make sure you've got a good spot.
Have fun!
