how far in advance do they film eastenders?

just wondering because if they only decided who killed archie half hour before live filming on friday what the hell are we going to be watching next week? if they film far in advance then theres going to be no reference to the who killed archie for a few weeks...? unless they film extra bits last minute and slip it into the episodes
