Me and my fiance are trying to book a cruise, and we've noticed that prices are much better if you go in december or january, but we still want to be able to go scuba diving and sunbathe. Has anyone been on a winter cruise to the Bahamas, and if so, how was the water temp/outside temp? Also, someone told me that the water is very choppy in the winter and it's easier to get seasick, how true is this?

i went on a cruise with ncl to the bahamas during the week of christmas in 09 and it was fabulous!!!! loved it! yes the was water was chilly but i still enjoyed it! we went snorkling and it was fine! the temp was about 75-85 was beautiful!!!!! i definitely recommend it!!!! the only downside of it was yes the water was choppy!!!! i recommend going and seeing your doctor before hand asking them to prescribe patches you put behind your ear... does wonders!!!! but when i was on my cruise our last day was supposed to be at ncl's private island.. but they wouldnt let us off the ship that day due to choppy waters... :( i was soooo upset but its ok we enjoyed our cruise!
