I got an offer at a dealership in small town of 5500 people. There is no other dealership for miles. I know last month they put out 130 cars, they have 10 salesman, so thats average of 13 cars per salesman. They do not have an internet salesperson who gets most of the credit. They do have an internet sales option where you will typically get a better deal, but when you actually come in to the dealer the salesman who talks to that customer gets the credit if the customer buys. I know where I worked before in car sales in San Diego they were only putting out like 200 cars which was split up into Internet guy sold about 50 so the remaining 150 was split up into about 30 salesman which meant the average salesman was only putting out about 5 cars a month so they all starved, but that was okm by the dealer, they knew because it was a big city there was always a line of people willing to give sales a try. They would hype you all up and get you expectations raised for nothing. Question is this being a Ford dealership and the only one within in an hours drive, and its a small town, your neighbors wioth your coworkers, so I find it hard to beliwve that they would manipulate the comission pay structure to make you suffer and the owner richer. What is your thoughts on thius, take the job or leave it alone?
Question number 2 Why do most dealerships sound ositive when you go in for the first interview, but then they call you for a second interview?
