How is it that celebrities get these great seats to the inauguration?

I saw a few minutes of this and they showed some celebrities getting these great seats for this event. Why the hell do they get treated like royalty, even when it comes to this political event? What the hell do they have to do with any of this that makes them so much more important that they dont have to stand in the crowd like everyone else. This is politics, and they should have absolutely no special treatment when it comes to this.
 
The invited guests are seated in an order of tradition and then at the whim of the organizer, I think that was Feinstein this time.
