How is pizza delivery going to wear out my 66 elky and what can I do to prevent it?

It got a rebuilt engine and new trans 3 years ago and I haven't have any major problems... just quirks here and there - vacuum leak, bad fuse, broken clutch bellcrank, header leak... you know small stuff. Peope are saying pizza delivery is going to wear it out. How? Tires? ITs a rich neighborhood and I don't mind making minor repairs or buying tires more often, but what major things could happen and how can I keep it from happening? Its gota 383stroker w/ a high rise and a muncie 4-speed.
I didn't want this job but you gotta do what u gotta do....
