How is the nissan xterra SE SUV?

does it operate well in the snow, rain, dirt, etc. like it says it does? it looks pretty cool, but is it as reliable and worth it like everyone says it is? i'm so0o0o sick of every 1 tellin me to go with the hottest, newest car out there when they know that the exterior says a wholllllllle lot more about it than the interior and how it runs. i HATE going form one car to another, i want to pick a vehicle and then be done, the next 20 years i have a reliable vehicle.....
 
The Xterra goes very well through the snow and dirt. Dump the OEM tires for a better set, I suggest Toyo Open Country A/Ts. The Xterra is a very capable off road vehicle. And they are very reliable. Don't expect good gas mileage or a car-like ride. It is on a truck frame and rides like one, but comfortably. I highly suggest one, you will not be disappointed.
