How long do I cook a pot roast?

It is a beef pot roast, and it weighs 2.65 lbs. I have celery, carrots, and small red potatoes to throw in the crock pot with it. I always get impatient and under-cook things, or get worried about under-cooking and burn it. Any help would be wonderful. ^^

well the longer you slow cook it the better. i always start the night before and slow cook it for about 12 hours but it usual ready after about 8 hours
