how long does bell's palsey last?

Ive had it since sunday, on monday the doctor prescribed me some steroid like pills called Prednisone which I have to take for 11 days. It doesn't seem to be improving and it's really frustrating especially when I'm at work and I talk to customers they look at me like if i'm retarded or something.
Anywayz I just wanted to know in how long does it usually go away
