ya know smoking or smokeless tobacco after a tooth extraction?
I've was givin a paper that said to wait 48 hrs for smoking but am unsure of smokeless tobacco...
and I don't want to hear it's nasty, I know it is but don't care.
thanks for any serious answers.
And I'm pretty sure it was just a simple tooth extraction since it only took 3 minutes to do lol

I just quit and found the electric cigarette to be a relief. Dunno if it's safe with your dental situation but I'd bet chewing tobacco is no better then smoking on the open would in your mouth. Might try the patch since everything else goes in the mouth anyhow.

yes its necessary to wait for 48 hrs as the blood clot in the socket if infected from the tobacco will cause DRY SOCKET/bone infection.
to prevent this you must not smoke or chew any tobacco product.
