how long will it take for my letter from rogers, arkansas to get to fort jackson, sc?

Aside from the fact that recruits generally won't have mail call every day, the timing is a bit screwy when sending mail to Basic. It often took odd amounts of time for my husband's letters to reach me and for mine to reach him. Sometimes he wouldn't get any for a week and then get three at once, even though they'd had mail call regularly. It just takes a little more time to get through the system than regular mail. Don't worry about it.

And just a tip, but you should number or date the outside of the envelope so that he knows which letter to read first and ask him to do the same.
 
it takes 3 days for my bf's letters from fort jackson to get here to my house. but i sent my first letter on monday oct. 24th and i figured he would of recieved it on the 27th or 28th but when i got another letter today which is nov. 3rd he wrote me on the 28th saying alot of people got there first letters on the 27th and he didnt recieve anything. so im worried if he got my letter this week or not. ive sent out 3 letters so far. i sent the 2nd letter on the 29th thinking he would of gotten it today. Idk if his drill sargent is holding his mail or what but im worried if he's not recieveing my mail. i know im sending the right address bc im copying it exactly as he wrote on the envelope. PLEASE someone help me with this question. someone who has sent mail to fort jackson and knows how long it takes to get there or if someone whos in the military knows how the mail works when it arrives to base/ fort jackson.
