How long would it take to pick up the accent?

I've always been a fan of Australian accents. I've always been a fan of the country itself and I hope to move there sometime in the near future.
And I was wondering, if I lived there for awhile, how long would it take for me to pick up the accent? And hopefully be able to keep it if I move away again?

i have three brothers, one went to canada one went to africa (kenya) and one went to peru. each for 2 years and each picked up the accent of each country withing those two years but that i think depends really on the person. but i think that could be the minimum you would need to be there.
