How long would it take you to leave a church you don't agree with?

I attended a contemporary Christian church that started a guilt trip on the youth group about some of the kids like of rock music, I left in less than a day, HOW long would it take you to leave a church that you disagree with their message?I could not support a church that told kiddos they would go to hades for listening to Metallica or Manson.
 
It seems like 20 years is normal especially if you are chanting CHANGE, CHANGE, CHANGE.
 
It would depend on how long I had been there, and what kind of ties I had built with the people.Thank goodness, though, that I have a choice. Some churches don't let you leave once you've joined.
 
after the first couple of sermons,,unless I planned on running for President and needed their support then I would stay 20 years
 
I got up and left in the middle of a Southern Baptist speech once.Obama loves his church. He just doens't love that people found out the truth about what it really is.
 
About two minutes, as long as it would take me to leave the pew and be out the door.
 
If I was sitting in a church and the hate messages started, I would get up and leave immediately. That is what I am trying to get obama followers to understand. I am not trying to get them to judge him on what his pastor says, but what obama him self does. He has went to that church for close to twenty years and has called him his mentor, and adviser, as well as saying he was like an uncleand supported it. But yet he says that he has never heard any of those hate messages. That makes him either a liar, or not very observant. A person doesn't go to a church for that long unless he agrees with what is said a least to a certain degree. No matter what he says now. And then, he denounces his pastors, and quits his church, because the going got rough. I wonder if his church friends will vote for him now. If a person doesn't fit in with the plans he has at the time, he just throws them away. These are things that people need to think about before they cast their vote, because you can not take it back later.
 
It took me 3 1/2 years to leave my church. I started reading my Bible almost daily, and I began to realize how hateful many pastors and churches are. Jesus was and is real, but the churches are good to stay away from.
 
religion is the anodyne for people who cannot accept the notion of life being finite. i would never ENTER a church unless i saw someone i knew go in, and even then i would just try to talk him/her out of going any further. obama has about as many of the flaws of any of the other candidates. i'm sure you find it nigh on impossible to admit there's anything wrong with whoever you plan to vote for. and so it goes...
 
It depends on the circumstances on how soon I would quit a church and the circumstances. Soon after we married the wife and I moved to a small quiet community. After attending the local church for approximately 10 years our minister reached a mid-life crisis and began sleeping with our married neighbor directly across the street from my home. He was asked to leave and a new minister was found. This second minister lasted about five years and was asked to leave because he had inappropriate contact with a autistic female teenager. It was then the wife and I stopped attending church services. It seems the Catholic church on the other side of town had its problems too when the priest suddenly left because of rumors of pedophilia. My daughter on her Myspace lists herself as an atheist and who can blame her.
