How many dollars per mile does a cab usually cost?

I live in the Cleveland, Ohio area. and I want to know how much it usually costs per mile to take a cab somewhere.


plus I also need to know: How much should you tip a cab? Is a tip expected or is it optional?

Why don't you call a local cab company and ask? Or go on their website and check there?
As for tips, there's no law stating you MUST tip the driver, but if you are pleased with service, 15% is customary.
