How many flashlights do you own?

Do you keep them near by just in case of an emergency?
Do they actually work?


I always seem to drop mine and break it, the batteries will pop out and the metal spring will fly out. Is it a good idea to keep the batteries in it at all times or to have the batteries near it and load it when its needed.
