How many Godparents do you have?

I'm havng a bit of tidy/clear out and came across some bits from my christening which got me thinking about godparents.

I have 2 godmothers and 1 godfather (as I'm a girl, whereas my brother has 2 godfathers and 1 godmother) My auntie and uncle are two of mine and the other is a (now) distant family friend so godparents have never been a big deal in my family.

How many do you have and are you close to them? What is the godparents role in your family?
 
My Godparents were my grandma and great grandma - both died when I was five.
 
I had 3 godmothers and a godfather, which included my aunty, my late uncle and two of my parents close friends. I am now a godmother, and enjoy taking my goddaughter out whenever I can. It somehow makes you feel closer than just a family friend. :)
 
None despite the fact I was christened and my 2 older bros have godparents :S

Soon to be a godfather though
 
None because my family don't believe in God and I wasn't christened. However we do have friends and relatives who have agreed to take my sister and me in should anything happen to my parents :)
 
Hmm... I only have two, one woman called Yvonne who is a friend of my Dad and some man who my mum has known since childhood. Unfortunately the last time I saw them, I was sloshed due to my friends intentionally spiking the drinks. Oh the beating I got...
 
I do. Just 2, a couple who have always been close friends with my parents. They have always been lovely to me despite not being family, birthday christmas presents etc and a cheque upon graduating that kind of thing. We see quite a lot of them though, dinner parties and things like that.
 
I have 3: two of my Mum's friends from school, and my Dad's friend who was best man at my parent's wedding (although he died a few years ago)
 
i didn't even know people had more than 2 until recently.
my cousins are my godparents.
 
i had 3 but now i have 1 as one died and one disappeared. the remaining one is my mum's cousin; i see her sometimes, usually at family gatherings, but other than that there don't seem to be any extra special godparent treatments .
 
I don't have any, but I wish I could be a Godfather.

3, one male and two female. not particularly close to any of them and the role of godparents in my family is very limited.
