How many hours of the day does your mobile toddler/baby let you 'pin' them up?

I said hours to be funny but how long out of the day will your walking/crawling baby let you keep them pinned up in a playpen or high chair or whatever? Now that my daughter is walking it's constant chasing, only sitting in her high chair when she's hungry or occupied by the tv for a couple minutes.
