how many hours would 3 gigs of internet last, roughly?

provided you're not streaming audio/video and you're not dowloading music etc?

four hours online wont make a huge dent (ie 1/4) in this, will it?
 
Depend on page contents, if sites you use are heavyly graphical, then may be 2-3 weeks, I have friends using 1GB/month just surfing normal sites ., read mail and never go over the limit.
