how many jewels are left? Please help?

There is a king. he has 3 wives. He has some jewels. He gives the jewels to the first wife and asks her to divide it in 3 equal parts. the wife divides it into 3 equal parts and 1 jewel remains. the king asks her to take her part and the extra jewel and return the other 2 parts. the king takes the other 2 parts and gives it to the second wife. the king asks her to divide it into 3 equal parts. the second wife divides and again 1 jewel remains. the king asks her to take her part and the extra jewel and return the other 2 parts. the king takes the remaining parts and gives it to the third wife and again asks her to divide it into 3 equal parts. again 1 jewel remains. the king asks her to take her part and the extra jewel and return the remaining parts. The king takes the remaining jewels and then divides its equally into 3 parts. this time the jewels are divided equally. Find the no of jewels?

There are 25 jewels
First wife divides by 3 = 8 remainder one
She therefore takes 9 and returns the other 16 to the king.
2nd wife divides by 3 = 5 remainder 1
she therefore takes 6 and returns the other 10 to the king
3rd wife divides by 3 = 3 remainder 1
she takes 4 and returns 6 to the king.
the 6 divides equally by 3.
