I've spotted a 1997 2.5l Porsche Boxster in good condition with apparently a good service history (last one only 2000 miles ago, and had a new clutch) but it's done 138,000 miles.
Over 13 years that's not that bad if regularly used and it being a Boxer engine, as long as it's well maintained, then I believe they should last a lot longer...

It was said that the pre mid 99 engines weren't as good.
Can anyone back this up / advice?
Is there any specific signs/indications of problems I could check for?
