I'm traveling to Playa Del Carmen, Mexico for a one week vacation with my wife. I have no idea how many Pesos we should take to have a good time. We already currency exchanged money and have about 6,000 Pesos. Sounds like a lot, but is it really?
Variables to consider
- We already have our rooms/accomodations
- We want to eat out, not necessary to be at 5 star restaurants. We're in our late 20s, good seafood is all we need.
- We already rented a car
So basically I want to know of 6,000 Pesos (mxn) is sufficient for food, and play?
When tipping in Mexico (PDC) using pesos, what's a sufficient tip? I know in US $1 would suffice
but what about when you're paying with Pesos?
