How many times could someone get double promoted in karate?

I'm a 6th gup green belt in tang soo do nd I've been double promote before ..nd i think my instructor might possibly double promote me again ....does the second times has to go through a master or what?

Like most answerers said here, Tang Soo Do is not Karate and you must totally aware about this, because if you are practicing one style, then you must review its history and you need to search more about some important details as part of additional knowledge.

Besides, double promotion is rarely happen, there are some gifted people and if the instructor seen it that he is totally deserving then he will grant such opportunity to his practitioner.


True is, I don’t want to insult you, but you for not knowing the differences between Tang Soo Do and Karate, I am sure that you didn't deserve to get a double promotion, maybe you fall into a mcdojo and such is the reasons why such thing occur in such training place.

First off, Tang Soo Do and Karate are two different things. Just because someone calls it "Korean Karate" does not make it Karate. It is Tang Soo Do. I don't mean to sound pissy but the interchanging of terms bothers me. They are separate martial arts.

Second, why did he "double promote" you? I have never heard of this before, and to my knowledge, it's not something that seems like a good idea. What's the point of having ranks installed if you can simply "skip" them.
