I live in Southern California and my mom has a pet rabbit that she can no longer care for she is working multiple jobs and unfortunatly have no time or money for care of the rabbit , a local high school was killing all the rabbits and my little sisters friend saved him when he was just a baby bunny he has free range of our back yard so is not a very tame bunny. we have tryed to fine a home for him and have even looked into rabbit rescues but no luck so our last resort is taking him to the animal shelter/pound. My question is does the animal shelter/pound charge a fee to take in an animal and if so how much?

Yes, they most likely will charge you a "surrender" fee for your animal. Prices vary from shelter to shelter and since I don't live in So Cal, I don't know what the fee would be like for your animal. Here in Washington state, it's $35 I believe.

Why don't you post an ad on www.craigslist.org, in the pets section and post that you have a free rabbit that needs to go to a new home?
