You don't give your age,sex,years driving experience, engine size or No Claims Bonus (NCB) (if any), so it's hard to judge.
My first car was and still is a mk4 ford fiesta so i'll tell you how much it has cost me;
First year, £1000 third party fire and theft (TPFT) - i was 23, bloke, 1.25 litre, 0 years driving exp, no NCB.
Next year, £700 TPFT
This year, £500 TPFT (i'm with Quinn direct and they have always given the best quote)
Bear in mind too, that my car has some truely awful non-standard alloys and low profile tyres (from the previous owner!), which bump the insurance up a bit.
I wouldn't suggest fully comp as the mk4's aren't worth it really.
Get on to moneysupermarket.com for a list of quotes and then also try quidco or topcashback to see if there are some cashback deals.
Hope that helps!
EDIT - car tax is £120....and the mk4 is a great/fun car to drive!
