How Much is Unlimited Internet Usage With Verizon?

I Just bought a Palm Treo 700 and i already have a verizon phone how can it be 44 dollars a months for unlimited internet usage on the palm treo phone. I have a friend who has cingular and its only 15 dollars a month for unlimited internet use. did the lad on the phone from verizon mis understand me...?
 
I'd certainly like to know your friend's cingular plan. My granddaughter is on my cingular family plan and she has to pay per use and per size of data loaded to phone for viewing - on top of her text-messaging plan (which is $20/mo for 1000 messages). The prices are preposterous for the internet usage; it's charged per kilobyte.
