how much should i expect to pay upfront when i get a 3g iphone?

i know the plans can go around 100 a month, but i want to know how much do i gotta pay when i actually get the iphone in the store.
 
Well in Canada its $199.99 for 8gb and $299.99 for 16Gb. I'm guessing its about the same in the states.
 
when you get the phone at the store, you only have to pay for the price of the phone with the plan which is $199.99 for an eight gig and $299.99 for a 16 gig. you pay your first insurance payment, too if you want insurance on it.
