how much should i lossen my wheels and trucks on my longboard/skateboard?

i like to longboard in the summer and sometimes in the winter and i would like to lossen my wheels and trucks off so i can skid/ powerslide would any of you guys out there be able to set a guide like a video or pictures or text or anything that can help me out. thanks guys. :)
