How much space should be between hot and bell peppers?

This is my 3rd season of having a garden. First time for spring/summer plants. I am planting Jalapenos, banana peppers, and your normal bell peppers (all colors).

How much space should I have between the peppers so they do not cross polinate?

Also any tips would be thankful.

I live in northern Florida, my garden is part shade.
 
Most peppers that you will plant in your garden are hybrids. No matter what they are pollinated with, you don't want to save the seeds. Hybrids never produce the same thing as the original plant. Like a previous poster said, your peppers will not be affected by being planted next to each other, you will get whatever variety they are....the seeds that are produced INSIDE your peppers WILL produce something different like I explained above.... I space my peppers about 2 feet apart.
One exception in vegie gardening is sweet corn. They have hybridized many different types of corn and some can't be planted next to each other because cross pollination will affect the sweetness of the corn. But this makes sense, it is affecting the SEEDS which happens to be the part we eat!
 
If you are not going to save seeds, don't worry about cross pollination, it will actually improve the number of peppers you get. This years pepper will be whatever the parent plant is. The seed for next year will be the crossed pollinated plant.

If you are going to save the seed, then you need to keep the plants separated and that will involve keeping the plants several hundreds fo feet apart.
