When they promise you something, and you agree to it, but later when the bill arrives, and i call them, they play you like they never offered you or agreed to anything (they said they had local chanels, they said they would respect promotional prices , they said they would not charge a penalty of 10 $ for switching a higher tv package,) , but when the bill comes,, totally opposite of what they had agreed. You have to explain the whole saga and " misunderstanding" again, and they also agree to make up for any misunderstanding again, but the 3er bill, comes with the same " misunderstandings " please, help this misunderstood DIRECTV client

If you have had Direct TV long enough to break the contract (year contract when signing up date?) , call and cancel & have Dish Network installed. I did and it is a less hassle drama to change or add programing, or cancel programing and they promptly replace at no charge Satellite boxes & DVR's when they have malfunctioned at my house.
You can file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and with http://www.ripoffreport.com and at least expose them and the ripoff report will broadcast it widely and also will contact Direct TV to dispute it or make it right. (I like that site).
I used to sell satellite systems and I can tell you to read every word in a contract with these systems. I knew what to always ask my clients if they were aware of the terms and explained plainly before signing them up.
