My mom pretty much knows I'm atheist. But, my dad doesn't know 100% because I haven't explicitly told him....instead, I just tell him "I don't want to discuss religion or politics with you."
He's told me before that if he knew I was an atheist, that he doesn't know if he would love me the same. (He's never shown a lot of love to me anyway, so I'm not too worried about that).
Tonight, at dinner, my brother said a prayer. Then my dad said that I should pray next time. I told him "No, I'm good...." And then my dad says "Heh, blind."
What did he mean by that comment?
Also, did you become estranged from your family because of their religious fanaticism?
