This girl and I have been friends for years. She had had a crush on me years ago, but I only saw her as a friend then. I asked her out 6 months ago but she told me she was too busy to date anyone. Yet when her grandma died it was me she turned to instead of her best friend or any of her other guy friends. This girl who doesn't really flirt and is uncomfortable touching guys spent much of the night wrapping fingers in mine, hugging me tight, and slept cuddled up next to me on a futon (first time she's slept next to a guy ever)
It's been some time since then. I had asked her about a month ago if she was upset with me because she was half avoiding me, and she agreed that not talking probably had confused things... but all she said was she wasn't mad. I was relieved to hear that and switched topics, thinking she would bring it up, but I think she's been too embarrassed to since then, because she definitely has only joked about how she was acting before her breakdown.
How can I bring up that night in a way that I can find out how she really feels... but without seeming like I only care for her if she actually likes me back? I care regardless but I don't want to seem shallow >.>
