How to change the starter on a 96 Chevrolet Blazer 4wd.?

ok i know i have asked a similar question before, but i got the year wrong the first time and i forgot to mention it is a 4wd. I have disconnected to the bolts out of the starter and i cant seem to wiggle it enough to get to the darn wires on the thing. What all do i have to remove to get this damn thing out? i read somewhere that i have to take the engine mounts and transmission mounts out, is this correct? and why on gods creation would i have to do this to change a damn starter? Any info on what i need to do or remove so i can get this job finished would be appreciated. be as detailed as possible please.
