So much of my teaching time is wasted policing mobile phone and ipod misuse. Any ideas?
At a meeting I suggested requiring students to put them in a class box at the start of the lesson, but the obstructive types said, 'Then there would be the risk of someone taking the wrong set.' Well if you had a wrack with named slots that would solve the problem, but you'd need about 70 slots in my case. Does anyone make such a thing? Any other ideas? PS if you have iron discipline to root the problem out, that may be great for you but wouldn't fit in the club med atmosphere at my place, and the parents' insistence that they can contact their children at school. I'm looking for something relatively easy to implement.
