...enabled? Does service provider matter? I have service with Cingular/ATT and a Nokia phone that just died. I'm out of warranty, I won't be eligible for an upgrade from ATT for 8 months, and I just bought an unlocked Motorola Motofone F3 and cannot find a hands-free ear bud thing to fit it ANYWHERE. I don't really know how Bluetooth works. If I find out that the unlocked phone is Bluetooth enabled, do I also have to find out if the phone is compatible and do I have to find out something with regard to my carrier?

Bluetooth is a low range radio frenquency used for interacting with other bluetooth devices similar to the way your remote control interacts with your television (only that uses infared not bluetooth). You don't need a service provider to take advantage of it, it will be an innate capability of the phone whether you have a cellular subscription or not. For example if you have a pda and a bluetooth printer you can use the pda to tell the printer to print out a document stored on the pda without using any wires to connect the pda to a computer or something.
The easiest way to tell if it's bluetooth enabled would just be look up the model on nokia's website and look at the features.
I don't really understand what it is you want to do with the bluetooth capability or I might be able to answer your question more directly
