how to find out the codes on my 1990 acura?

I assume you want a simple answer here well there isn't one.But it is possible you cant go to AutoZone or some place and have them use a code reader because it doesn't work on a car made before 1996.Now it can be done the OBD-1 port is in the same place as the OBD-2 you are going to need a thin piece of wire a paper clip works pretty good and a flash light. Now you are going to look for your OBD-1 port under the dash under the steering wheel and look for 2 slots side by side the first is A and the 2nd Is B here is where it gets tricky your check engine light will flash it will flash one time first then 3 more for a combination of 13 it will do this about 3 times ignore those that is the computer checking for any stored codes,Now any codes that follow will be the cause of your check engine light.Write them down and Google them

Go to AutoZone or call you local auto parts store and ask if they read engine code. AutoZone does it for free. Or buy a code reader

well 1 you spell the words right
2. either go to a repair shop or buy a code reader from an auto parts store
