how to fix my samsung profile's texting problem.?

i just got a new samsung profile from us cellular and the phone has just acted strange. its supposed to lock onto something when i click on it. well when i want to reply to a text message it locks onto picture message option instead of text message. how do i fix it?
 
I'm having trouble recieving and sending picture messages, mine just keeps telling me that the memory is full
