there is water on floor around a/c unit and in a/c vents.the tray is draining in pipe but u can hear water dripping. don't understand where is it coming from and how can i fix it?

That water comes from condensation as the coil cools warm moist air.
The tray(s) and piping are there to handle the water, and something
is interfereing with that.
You'll have to look around a bit.
Is there a leak in the tray?
Is there more than one tray? (Possibly a clogged pipe between trays.)
Are the drain inlets clear? (Dirt build-up around the drain raising the water level in the pan.)
Is there a condensate pump installed that might have failed?

is it a window unit or central unit? if a window unit check filter and make sure that it is dripping water outside.if it is central unit with vents through your house then u will have to take the cover off your unit and check drain.usually if u can hear water dripping then that means that it is falling into a puddle of standing water which means something is clogged up.u should never be able to hear water draining.if u don't operate your a/c enough then u can get high humidity in your house.a/c's will remove this when operated for a certain period of time.u will have to check drain from beginning to end and it does sound like u have a drain problem.cleaning the drain can be involved, depends on unit. and make sure your filters are clean.
