How to get a celebrities autograph after you see them live? does anyone know?

I'm going to see jerry seinfeld in april and I always see people signing autographs after their gigs or whatever like for example my friend just went to see will will ferrell and he got his autograph..so has anyone ever experienced this? or know where I should go after his show or something?
yeah i have pretty good seats..its in a small theatre and I have 9th row but thats still like really close to the stage..its like in the orchestra so idk i just wanted to see if this has happened to anyone
 
well you have to run for the line. as soon as you see him leaving the stage, run and try to be the first.
 
i'm not sure, but sometimes you can write to them and they sometimes send you a signed picture, that's what my friend did!
 
You have to buy a real good seat to get noticed you exist and maybe later you can be close enough to get a autograph. Some people don't give them and go back stage and that's it.
