Since going to college two years ago, I feel like I have become really really bad at reading and writing, but i used to enjoy it! I used to love books and was very passionate about writing, I even used to love writing essays, and in High School i wanted to become an author. But now my attention span is zilch, I can't even seem to get through a whole paragraph without getting distracted when I read - this means i rarely complete readings for homework - and now writing an essay is like pulling teeth, i struggle to come up with ideas and it's hard for me to tell if what i wrote makes sense. But i just don't understand, I always considered reading and writing to be my biggest strengths until now. Could it be because my reading/writing is all academic now and not for leisure? Has this happened to anyone else? What can I do to get back to being a strong reader/writer?
