I'm currently studding Computing and Applied IT in college and I plan (grades providing) to go to uni to study computer science or networking.
As you can imagine on the top of my "I'd love to have list" is a Macintosh and I think that I should probably start getting money together so I can have a nice Mac on my desk when I start uni.
Being a student I have little to no income, I will ask for money for my birthday and christmas (my family aren't particularly affluent, I'm not expecting more than £100). I am currently trying to get a job.
Any ideas as to how to get funds to get the new computer? And which Mac would you advise I get?
I will need portability so really I'm looking at the 13/ 15" Mac Pro or the 13" Mac air, but to be honest by the time I have the money I may as well wait for the next hardware update (and Lion) before I buy.
No Apple haters please, I'm a Linux or Mac OS user, I don't have time for any Microsoft boxes!
