How to get my 2007 GMC 3500 Duramax out of limp mode?

Thsi is the second time is has happened. The first I was able to reset it by turning the key 5 half turns, however that isn't working now. I might have forgotten how to do this. Both times it went into limp mode occurred while doing a two point turn on a two way street in the snow. I also put it into 4 wheel drive both times. Does this makes sense to anyone?
