How to get rid of Earache?

i have had earache for the past two days now...i suffered from a cold and swollen glance last week and the week before...slowly that is going, however the earache is coming! i have been taking parcetamol and ibuprofen...doesnt seem to want to go!!!

heating pad. I lay one on my pillow.

additional thought: I don't use it all night you risk burn or fire. I turn it to low and lay on it while I'm watching TV.
