How to get the courage to talk to a guy you like?

Well.. I like this guy and I realize that I'm sorta shy and it's hard to get the courage to talk to him or even flirt with him. I have talked to him before and I didn't realize what I was doing if you know what I mean.. Well anyways a few minutes later I was thinking 'Why Did I Say That!'
He asked me if I wanted to play volley ball with him.. And I said no.. I'm so stupid.. I didn't realize what I was doing!
Now can you give any advice to talk to this dude..?

By saying no, you gave him the idea that your not interested. You need to make the next move, because he made the first move and you subconsciously rejected him. You need to show him you're interested. If you really like him, you should feel comfortable and not shy around him. Just remember, we're all people, no need to be shy
