how to get wired internet for ps3 using a AT&T Ethernet?

I have AT&T internet and a modem.. so i use the Ethernet from the modem and its not working... its says that my IP address has "timed out"

try power cycling your modem and your ps3 that should work.
unplug your modems power cord for about 30 sec's then plug it back in let all the lights do what they used to do when they are back to their normal state, then plug in your ps3 then your connection wouldn't be Timed out anymore
