How to Import DivX Codec into Windows Movie Maker (WMM)?

How do I import the video filter, DivX Codec, into Windows Movie Maker (WMM) so that I can import and view/edit DivX videos in WMM ? When I installed Xvid, it automatically imported into WMM and I was able to import Xvid videos into WMM and view/edit the Xvid videos in WMM, but for some reason after installing the DivX Codec, it did not import into WMM and I am not able to import DivX Videos into WMM. I tried closing and reopening WMM but that did not work. Any Suggestions?
I tried to find the compatibility box for DivX in the tool options video filters in WMM but it i not there. So how to I get the DivX compatibility box into WMM tool options video filters list?
Please no video converters.

in windows movie maker click tools then options then compatibility then tick the box for divx

You cannot import it into windows movie maker, it,s an apart programme .
