I'm training for a 5k obstacle race and just took time off of exercise because I was sick. Now I'm experiencing anterior ankle pain. I want to give my ankle time to rest and heal properly, but I still need to exercise to improve my endurance. Currently I run 3 miles on a tread mill 3 days a week and do upper body weight lifting 3 other days a week and rest on Sunday. So what can I do cardio-wise that will allow my ankle to heal?
