Yesterday, I got a four month old black and white male kitten. Now, he's the sweetest little thing ever, and pays no attention whatsoever to aggression coming from other cats. Even in the shelter, when he was hissed or clawed at, he would just carry on as if nothing happened. Anyways, we already have another cat, who is also male, and almost six months old. He was originally a very timid cat as well, but when we tried to introduce the two, he hissed, so we separated them. We've been keeping the little one in my room, and have only let them meet through the door. The older kitten's behavior has improved, but is there anything else we can do to help them get along? We've already been exchanging blankets that smell like one another, and it seems to be working well. Are we doing everything right? I'd love some help. :]
