How to introduce yourself to neighbours?

I'm 16 and I live in a little town. I go to school in a nearby city and most of my friends live quite far away, so I don't really know many local people. There's this family in my neighborhood with some girls my age, I'd love to meet them and stuff but I'm not that outgoing. Would they find it weird if I rang on their doorbell to say hi and introduce myself?

That's exactly what you should do! Sometimes, the most long-lasting relationships with people are the ones that occured as a result of boldness. If they accept you easily after your introduction, then they might be people right up your alley. If they seem distant or annoyed by your appearance, then they don't like you and you shouldn't pursue a relationship with them. Some people are just that way. I have a feeling that if you life in a fairly nice neighborhood, they would be happy to see you. Go for it!
 
I think that shows a lot of self confidence. Go for it. I think anyone would want to be friends with someone who is that bold. I know I would.

nope. tell them you live in the neighborhood and noticed that they have some girls your age. let them know if they ever want to play or need a friend since they are new you live over there.
 
go over there with a basket of fruit and a pie and just keep smiling ridiculously wobboling your head about and scare the fuking SHIT out of them
